Tragedy at MGM Medical College, Jamshedpur

On 24 july 2026 ,Three junior doctors from MGM Medical College had gone for a morning walk near Dimna Lake. During the outing, one of them accidentally dropped a mobile phone into the water. In an attempt to retrieve it, two young doctors entered the lake. Both drowned despite rescue efforts initiated after their companion alerted authorities. Their bodies were later recovered, leaving classmates, faculty members, and the wider medical community grieving the loss of two promising young lives. This incident is also a reminder that even seemingly routine situations around deep water can become life-threatening within moments.
